TIK - Aviation Club of Engineering Students
The purpose of the club is to nurture recreational aviation among students and staff of Lappeenranta University of Technology. Hang-gliding has been the main interest of the club in past years.
TIK arranges hang-glider courses for beginners, tandem flights and hang-gliding competitions. The club also has some training gliders and other stuff for rent.
In summer time we mostly fly at Immola Airfield in Imatra (location in Bing maps). In winter season the nearest flying site is on the ice of lake Saimaa, just a few hundred meters from the university! University marina
